An important event is the International Aviation and Space Salon “Aviasvit-XXI” in Kiev, Ukraine. On June 15-18, 2021, we were exhibitors in Kiev and together with the participants of the Defense and Security Industry Fair, a total of 3 halls were filled with equipment for military, aviation and space applications.
We had the opportunity to meet and establish a number of interesting contacts in the field of solutions used in the space industry. Among Ukrainian aviation companies, the stands of the world’s most renowned manufacturers, such as Ivchenko-Progress, enjoyed the greatest interest. For several decades, the company has been designing and supplying engines for many Ukrainian aircraft, including the world’s largest aircraft – An-225 “Mrija”.
Firefly Aerospace stood out among short-lived ventures. The company, founded in 2014 in Texas, USA, is engaged in the design and construction of small and medium-sized space vehicles for delivering payloads into orbit. Since 2017, it has a large research and development (R&D) center in the Ukrainian city of Dnieper, which employs over 100 people.
Ukraine is not only a close neighbor of Poland, but also a country with above-average “know-how” and experience in the field of missile technology. For this reason, this country for Jakusz SpaceTech is a natural area of searching for partners in projects aimed at the development and popularization of “green fuel” for rockets, which is HTP.
