Research and Experimental Services Using Space Propellants
We offer comprehensive research services and scientific experimentation involving space-grade propellants, enabling the execution of projects using a wide range of liquid rocket fuels. As specialists in this field, we provide expert support and high-quality services tailored to the specific needs of each client.
As part of our capabilities, we conduct material compatibility testing. These tests determine whether materials used in propulsion system components—such as tanks, pipelines, pumps, and valves—are suitable for contact with liquid space propellants. After immersion tests, we carry out detailed analyses of changes in the mechanical properties of the materials as well as the physicochemical properties of the fuel, helping optimize engineering processes.
Research on HTP – High-Test Peroxide
The Jakusz SpaceTech Research Center has been conducting research and producing highly concentrated hydrogen peroxide (HTP) at concentrations of up to 98% for over five years. In cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA), we have successfully completed five R&D projects focused on the use of HTP as a rocket and spacecraft propellant. ESA actively promotes the use of HTP due to its significantly lower toxicity compared to hydrazine, a commonly used but carcinogenic and environmentally harmful substance. HTP is increasingly being explored globally as a safer and more sustainable alternative.
Safe Transport and Handling of High-Energy Materials
The transport and handling of high-energy materials—such as HTP—pose significant challenges. Air transport of HTP is strictly prohibited, and alternative methods require strict conditions, such as temperature-controlled logistics below 15°C. For instance, transporting just 3 kg of HTP may require a dedicated refrigerated vehicle or a separate marine container, resulting in substantial costs relative to the material’s value. However, our team has several years of hands-on experience in the safe handling of HTP, both in production and during experimental research. We ensure a high level of operational safety and minimize the risks associated with improper handling or contact with incompatible substances.
Safety, Transparency, and Cost Efficiency in Research
At Jakusz SpaceTech, you can carry out a wide range of research and experiments involving HTP with full confidence in the accuracy of the results and adherence to strict safety protocols. Our expertise in the safe use of HTP allows us to reduce the cost of experiments while maintaining the highest standards of safety and scientific integrity.
