Technology for producing purified hydrogen peroxide GREEN SPACE using reverse osmosis and fractional vacuum distillation in continuous mode
The aim of the project was to develop a new product—GreenSpace fuel—with a formulation based on highly concentrated hydrogen peroxide. During the industrial phase, membranes compatible with hydrogen peroxide were selected, enabling a low level of heavy metal content, and optimal operating parameters were chosen for the feedstock purification installation using reverse osmosis (RO). A pilot-scale installation was built, incorporating selected modular membranes and a concentration station for the purified product, utilizing rotary evaporators with fractional distillation under vacuum. The concentration process parameters were optimized to achieve the desired efficiency and evaporation system concentration capability.
Research also identified a new stabilizing mixture and its concentration, ensuring the stability of hydrogen peroxide. As a result of industrial and developmental research, a technology for producing stable GreenSpace fuel was developed using membrane-based reverse osmosis (RO) and fractional vacuum distillation, achieving the required purity (metal content at 0.3 ppm) and a production rate of 6 kg/h.
